 Just as TDA is committed to providing exciting academic opportunities for its online students, we also recognize our responsibility to promote and encourage the physical, social, emotional, and mental health of our students. The TDA Health & Wellness program provides opportunities for students to improve their overall health, morale, and physical fitness. Our students receive membership into the Health & Wellness Community Group within their learning environment where they can
- engage in friendly physical fitness competitions
- access information and resources relating to the benefits of physical activity and healthy behaviors
- participate in discussion groups that focus on student interests in sports, health, physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
The TDA Health and Wellness program also encourages and assists students in becoming involved in their local community service activities and events. In addition, students are recognized for their participation in the activities provided through the Health & Wellness Community group.

How Does Nike+ Work?
Each student who enrolls in TRECA Digital Academy receives Nike+ running shoes, an Apple iPod Nano and a Nike+ sports kit. The sports kit communicates with the iPod Nano via a wireless connection. During a walking or running workout, the student receives audio and visual readouts of time, speed and distance while listening to favorite tunes or podcasts!
The workout can then be automatically uploaded to the Nike+ website by simply plugging the iPod into a computer. The Nike+ website stores this data so the student can track personal fitness goals as well as group challenges with other TDA students
