Learning with iPod
We
are a society on the go and TDA is keeping pace
with its students' active lifestyles via the iPod. |
Now,
when students are on the run, they can take
schoolwork with them, by simply "plugging in" to
the handheld iPod, small enough to fit in your
pocket.
'My
friends couldn't believe
I was getting a really cool iPod on top of
all the great equipment from my school. I
use it in my Spanish II class, but I also
listen to NPR and ESPN radio shows. I've
even thought about doing my own podcasts
with my friends. It’s a really cool
tool.'

Teachers
will provide podcasts, speech and music recordings,
audio books, and other lessons using the
iPod. Students can upload schoolwork on their
iPods - and take it wherever they go.
Research shows
that students learn in a variety of ways. Implementing
the iPod into TDA's state-certified curriculum
further enhances online education by providing
the audio portion of the learning module. |
'I
just listened to President Bush's
weekly radio address with my iPod for my
American History class. It was neat
to
hear what he was planning to do and what
has been done in Iraq and with Hurricane
Katrina.'

Following
orientation, students who successfully complete
the first Block in each of their courses will receive
an iPod to use while they are enrolled at TDA.
Upon graduation, it's theirs to keep.
