What is TRECA?

Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association (TRECA) is a nonprofit Information Technology Center (ITC), formally known as a Data Acquisition (DA) Site providing services to a consortium of over 40 Ohio School Districts located primarily in Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Muskingum, and Wyandot counties.

TRECA Digital Academy (TDA) is the online learning extension of the TRECA mission and organization. Rather than being a competitor to traditional schools, TRECA Digital Academy offers school districts in Ohio the opportunity to provide meaningful educational choices to all students.

A member of the Ohio Education Computer Network (OECN), TRECA offers a wide variety of services to its member districts and schools including: fiscal services, student services, technical services, professional development services, and Internet access. 

TRECA believes that collaboration between educational partners is essential for maximizing student achievement.  Therefore, our mission is accomplished through:

• • Empowering the learning community to use and understand technology as a necessity.
• • Using systemic processes coupled with creative approaches to foster rich educational experiences.
• • The efficient delivery of data, training and related technological skills along with supplying necessary services and resources.
• • Encouraging and nurturing the spirit of teamwork and cooperation throughout TRECA and the consortium.
